The extensions beyond the bed are air brakes, if you're wondering why the body is so long. They fold out up to 90 degrees and function much like flaps on an airplane.

Air brakes needed because of the two jet engines mounted where the 5th wheel should be. Also has hydraulic stabilizers just in front of the air brakes that keep the truck upright and stable through high-speed turns.
