This is the absolutely amazing commission I picked up at Anthrocon 2013. As an avian, it's not always easy to find artists that are comfortable working with us feathery types. I wasn't sure I would end up with anything new in my sketchbook this time around.

And then I stumbled into  windfalconart 's booth in the dealer's room. The prints she had on display were breathtaking and the leather work she had for sale was absolutely beautiful. I knew right away that I was getting a commission from her. It took me a little while to go back to her table with an idea, but I finally settled on something and worked with her on the details.

So when I stopped back to pick up the finished piece, I was greeted with, "I went a little overboard on it" as she showed me the finished art.

It took several minutes to get my jaw off the floor and I think it's still bruised from the impact.

For any feathery folk out there, I simply cannot recommend  Windfalconart enough! She's incredible and I think it shows through in her artwork!
