For my Backgrounds, Props and Structures class. This assignment had a very basic script: a man walks up to a car, gets inside, starts the engine, and drives off. The focus was on drawing the interior and exterior of the car, so that’s where most of my efforts went with the rendering. I think I may have gotten a bit carried away with it, as it extended the production time of the comic a bit, but seeing as how this is my first real attempt at drawing a realistic car, I’m pretty happy with the results.
Bonus points to anyone who can identify the car that I used for reference.

Yeah, they had a Z/28 badge on the driver's side of the grille, there were also badges in front of each front fender marker light. Most cars didn't have any badges aside from the bowtie and Camaro scripts. Easiest way to identify if it's a 1969 is the wheel wells are flat along the top with the crease zooming backward. Best year Camaro yet, even if they didn't have the most power.
Nice 69 Camaro! Aelius pointed me to this. I have a 1969 Camaro Z/28. I like the entirior, what was your references? You got pretty close, the grille, front bumper, and turn signals were the biggest clues. There's no mistaking it.
Take it from me, breaking into these cars is a snap. If you don't worry about the window felt you can jimmy the lock with the car's own license plate.
Mine was originally intended for Trans Am racing. It has absolutely no options from the factory. I installed a few like...
windshield wipers.
Good work!

I've gotta admit, this is pretty snazzy. The perspective is good, and interior and exteriors are well done. Very nice.
I am a little confised about what is next to the car in the first panel though.
I'm sure Dave was pleased w/ the car. And I'm sure thats why you worked extra hard on it.. because you know hot nit-picky he can be w/ his cars. Haha.
