I finally got around to drawing all the different Dragons on Magica. SO, starting off, is the BladeWing Clan!

BladeWings are among the most ancient dragon clans on Magica. They where the first clan to be organized during the "Dracon Wars", the war between the Dragons, Deathbeads, and the Dragon Slayers. In those times, the blades you see on this male's wings here, where actually sergically IMPLANTED into the last wing ribs' bone structures. And back in those times, there wasn't any drugs to ease the pain.

Now, however, the BladeWing Clan are genetically altered, so the babies are born with the pure energy blades you see glowing on this adult. The dragon in this picture is very brightly colored, as you can see, which is a trait that was given to all BladeWings during the genetic alterations. BladeWings are also some of the largest dragons, and because they have fur, are the only race that can live worldwide.
