I remember the illicit thrill of sneaking the odd cig as a kid. It was awesome, being able to pretend to be a hardcore, badass-but-still-sophisticated real grown-up type... all you had to do was pop that thing in between your lips and talk about rock music with your buddies, the ciggy bouncing around in the corner of your mouth like it would if Clint Eastwood got hungry on set and started eating his Marlboros.
Then, y'know, came the inevitable part where you actually fire the thing up and try to take a drag. That was pretty much where it stopped being cool and started being more about "hurrrrkkkkk-k-k-k... *cough COUGHCOUGHCOUG ack* "Yeahhh, hhhkkk, this is awesome, right guys haccckkkkk!"
