It seems I have uploaded another thing without several months of nothing in between. Huh. Well don't get too used to it- I'm not making any promises about regularly drawing stuff.
Anyways- here is the lion to go with the dragon! Huzzah! And there's a helmet and a rose too. Just 'cause.
Actually both the lion and the helmet are practice for the planned coat of arms for the classroom wall. The Tudor rose is there because I started drawing it one day and decided to finish it.
These are based off of illustrations from the book 'Coats of Arms' by Andrew Stewart Jamieson and according to the Acknowledgements A.S.J. both wrote the book and drew the illustrations. Well done sir!
The lion is based off a lion supporter from an illustration of the Royal Arms of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The helm is based off an illustration from a guide to the arms of Peter Henry Greenhill, Gentleman of the county of Dorset. The rose is based off an illustration of the Tudor rose in an explanation of the use of plants in heraldry- the Tudor rose and the Fleur-de-lis in particular.
And just in case you're wondering- yes, this is what I've been doing with my college time recently. Because I'm SO productive :)
