Don't hear from me much anymore and for good reason, but I figured I'd drop by and leave you all with this. My automotive photography has come under the scope a few times here and has kept me from posting, but I will make an exception for this one.
More is in store for this one, my 2000 Lexus LS400, as a simple wheel refinish and engine bay update spiraled out of control. The car is similar, yet completely different from last year. After sending one of my sets of wheels off to be refinished, I ended up buying another set of completely, one-off custom wheels. Now sitting on a set of SSR Viennas sized up at 18x11 +1 up front and a steam-roller-sized 18x12.5 +0 in the rear with lips bigger than Angelina Jolie's at 6.5". No, they weren't cheap, and they were a mission to make fit. Functional purists will foam at the mouth in rage at the tires I used to fit these wheels. Stretch is an understatement. 225/40/18s are mounted on the 11s and 245/40s are mounted on the 12.5s.
The engine bay received some tucking, and all the covers were taken off and painted gloss-black and finished with custom pin-striping. All the hardware was replaced with polished, spiked hardware to keep with the hot-rod theme in the bay. The interior was given a LED upgrade to all the lighting as well as a custom, beer-tap suicide shifter, and a Crown Royal display in the rear armrest.
The only downside is the car has been raised half of an inch since you all last saw it. However, a host of new suspension arms will be arriving soon so I can really play with the camber and have complete adjustability and slam the car back down.
This Lexus has pretty much taken over my other one. The IS has been shoved off and slowly being parted out again. VIP tuning and hot-rodding are more my thing and I'll be making room for a 1960s Cadillac soon. Along with my VW GTI project, and building a Miata and another Lexus LS alongside my boyfriend, there will be some more updates.

Yeah, I used to hang out with the SRT crew during that time though I heard that after the light rail got underway it went and Porky's was the final nail. I haven't been back to the Twin Cities since 2010, I've been enjoying the scene down here in Las Vegas. Lots of gorgeous stuff down here!
