Oh, come ON, this is their lot in life! Sort of like how goombas get stomped, and get all cutely flattened, how monty moles somehow fall 90 degrees the opposite of the way they were standing, and how Bowser looks just soooo cute the way he falls off that bridge and gets his flesh scalded alive by boiling hot lava. xD
