A short mini story I wrote just to pass the time. I am very proud of it. Hopefully you will enjoy it.

Under a Full Moon

Starring Princess Blue Sky of the CloudSky Kingdom

Under the soft orange sky of dusk, on a large field of grass, a black alicorn pony with sky blue outlines and stripes, and wearing pink bracelets, was getting ready to paint the sky a black color for the night just as she did every dusk. For her, it was simple; no other pony could do it besides her.
Once the full moon came into view, her horn glowed as the sky slowly turned dark and soon... darkness. The only hint of light being the moon. She panted a bit from coloring the sky but she was not tired out. As said, it was simple to her. Just as she was about to stand up to go home, she recieved a surprise hug from behind from her husband, a brown stallion alicorn with tan hooves, dark pink mane and tail, and wore blue glasses. He smiled at her as he held her close.
"Hey, love," he said happily.
"High Score. I thought you were busy at home," the mare said, somewhat surprised by his appearance.
"Eh. We've pretty much cleared out what was needed to be cleared out," Score said, kissing the mare on the cheek. "Your artwork looks amazing, Blue Sky."
"Pfft. Its the same black sky I've colored since long ago," Blue denied.
"You say that... But come with me," the stallion said before letting go. He walked ahead toward a hill with a single tree on top.
Blue was a bit curious as to what Score had to show to her. When they got to the top of the hill, Score said, "Look."
She looked at the scenery. Hey eyes went wide with awe. The mountains in the background, the forest in front of it, the field of grass, and the full moon. She couldn't believe she had missed it.
"You never realized it, but for as long as you have been painting the sky, you were also painting a picture. A scenery of the wilderness."
"Its...beautiful..." Blue said, looking at the scenery with sparkles in her eyes.
"I guess when you've colored the sky for over 1000 years you overlook the most important part of the colors. The scenery. The image you create," Score said wisely before putting a wing over Blue.
Blue cuddled closer to Score, looking up at him. "Thank you, Score..." she said happily.
"Wanna stay out here tonight?" he asked, laying down.
She looked out to her artwork and smiled brightly. "Yeah. I'd love to," she responded before laying down next to him.
She put her head over his, their wings covering each other to stay warm from the cold night. Blue felt happy to know that her coloring the sky served more purpose than just indicating night and day. The two lovers slept soundly under the moonlight, enjoying nature at its finest.
