This picture is - as always - based on my RP sessions with ArthaAmberose.
Auron was once a leader of a big Pantheon. He was kind and wise, and accepting those, who were rejected for various reasons. He gave shelter to those who needed it. His Pantheon loved him dearly.
All that wasdestroyed one day. Another primordial god, the Hunter spotted this Pantheon and decided to hunt them all down. As the master of prophecies, Auron sensed danger and warned all of his Pantheon, but it was already late. The Huunter targeted him, easily fought him and pined him. Poor Auron was raped in front of everyone, humiliated..and had to watch all his subordinates put their lives at stake to save him. All were killed one by one, having no chance against the Hunter and his terribly powerful blows...they even didn't manage to knock him away from their beloved Leader.
Auron had to watch his lover dying, and his son, a Newling yet, as well, while the kid tried to fight too. But that was not an end of his torment. He was knocked down and fell unconscious. As he woke up, all he could see, were scattered corpses of his friends, with their centers devoured, their bodies telling horrible story of uneasy death. That broke him badly. Still he could at least watch over the Mortals...but when he went to check his realms...he found only dead, barren worlds. He remembered Hunter's malicious laugh, as he mocked him - leaving alive only him to have the powerful and known Leader break utterly.
Auron lost his sanity, his mind unable to keep clear thoughts, while his worst memories kept repeating as nightmares even while he was awake. He spent long ages like this and in his madness he desperately searched for a Healer...
One day, he spotted other deities and his mind played tricks on him again and Auron ended up kidnapping two gods, Godling and a Newling, mistaking one of them with a healer. These belonged to Kraeos' Pantheon one of them being Kraeos' son, the other Sillaya's.
Luckily, both kids were found soon, together with insane Auron. Seeing him like this, unable to think straight, desperate and scared, they decided to spare him - since he didn't hurt kidnapped young ones and actually meant no harm.
Auron was knocked down and with Ioren's help - a healer's help, his insanity was brought to rather harmless level. He had to be watched over closely, but once Sillaya and others found out what happened to him, she decided to become his friend and guardian..and soother.
He spent many years, slowly mending, with his mind clearing a bit, though his pain and grief remained, eventhough it dulled and was slowly fading too. Though, one day, Sillaya's soothing attempt ended with lovemaking. Sillaya let that happen, knowing he lost his son...and let him sire in her even...because all those years of close care made her love him and care for him very much.
When Auron learnt about her bearing his child, he started to heal more remarkably and once his son was born, he found he could be happy again...though he never healed fully from his insanity.
Several years passed by, and his son matured...when a new threat appeared - a Warlord with huge Pantheon of a few corrupted and lots of enslaved, brainwashed or in deep submission beated broken gods. He targeted Kraeos' Pantheon, after they saved one god, who escaped from the Warlord's grasp.
A terrible and huge clash of arlord's Pantheon and Kraeos' alliance followed with high number of casualties, but Kraeos' Pantheon and allies won. Though the victory cost way too much lives and so this carnage was later called The Battle of Tears.
Auron died in this battle, sensing Sillaya and divine children, she protected together with her friends in danger...and sacrificed his life to save their lives, when enemies got past the defenders and were about to kill the children. Sillaya mourned for his loss very long time, missing him dearly as well as many friends Auron gained.
Noone knew that about a month before the battle, Auron gave birth to one more son, who was concieved without a sire. With all those worries about the battle and preparations, noone noticed his pregnancy. Noone even noticed the split of his and his son's energy...
It was about a year after the battle, when his son, incredibly similar to him, got out of the room he was left in and forgotten...and wandered around, until he almost bumped into his older half-brother.
