Yet another reason to add to the list of why I hate gay pride. =/

What's wrong with it?

The pride fest? Not all countries but most I find just take it way too far. I always felt that if they want people to accept them as a community why rub it in their faces in rather unpleasant manners and so publicly as well. Though this is more referring to when I see pictures of like, half naked guys in leather being lead on a chain by a guy in a thong. >_<

The badge I'm sure someone made it all in good interest for peoples safety, but it's like reinforcing the stereotype that gay people are more likely to have or contract aids or various sexual diseases, when really these day's it's pretty equal among everyone.

You do know that not all gay pride festivals are like that? Some are fairly calm and respectful. Don't take everything you know off of the ones you see in larger cities. No, that's not reinforcing the stereotype, it means they practice safe sex, just as a lot straight, or let's say, bisexual people.

That's why I said not all, but most. Plus by being in bigger cities they're also the ones receiving the most attention and publicity, surely they should be the ones under better control.

And it depends which way you look at it, it might mean they practice safe sex or it might be someone telling you you should practice safe sex because of a, b, c. =(

My feelings towards condoms supposedly going hand in hand by the gay community is also fueled further by the fact that the mascots for gay pride in Hong Kong where I live are god damn condoms themselves. XD

Everyone should practice it. Just because a gay pride flag or the colors of one is stamped on it doesn't exactly make it bad. Also those condoms, that's ridiculous and made me laugh a little.

Then again this is also reminding me of the time I went to a fur con in London and got given a furry themed condom. >_<

but yes i think the whole matter of the condom is to symbolize "safe sex" not "gays have aids".
