I hope this one helps people not get so scared of Painter. One of the things I like about Painter is that I can make it as simple as I want by customizing how I want to use my workspace. You can even customize what tools pop up on that scroll of doom, and I saw a video on Corel's site.
I use the scratchboard tool a lot and I got tired of scrolling for it. So here you'll see how to keep your favorite tools around in a very organized manner.
Scratchboard tool is the best inking tool I've ever encountered hands down. It definitely beats Open Canvas because you can increase the size of the brush with the Brush Size shortcut keys [ and ] while you ink
