This actually flew together fairly quickly. Shale owns an adamantium dagger that he found in the more ruined sections of his home city. The dagger is surprisingly strictly mundane otherwise.
He is one of the few trained to fight slatepaws outside the "homelands" that puts effort into remaining fit so that he can fight off stuff. And with his fairly implausibly sharp dagger if he can get the drop on something it typically dies. (unless the size gets up there so that a 1ft deep cut ACTUALLY won't kill them)
