I've always wonder why Mirage didn't have a tail. Many fanarts include it and it doesn't look out of place. This idea has been banging around my head for a long time, but when
earwaxkid requested that I drew a younger Mirage, I quickly seized the opportunity to draw my theory as to what happened to her tail.
The cameo appearances delayed things a bit, but it was worth it.
Mixing some stuff from Naruto (for the sciency stuff) and listening to early '90s dance music (2 Unlimited, for the fashion... ♪Get ready for this♪...)
Mirage had to have short hair. And a skin tight one-piece white outfit. Given that Mirage takes care of herself, she didn't look so dramatically different back in the day. My biggest challenge (aside from making it all fit) was her poses, especially the one on the bottom left. What do you guys think?
BTW, if there is one moment in time for Mirage to turn evil, it's in a High-School-like setting. Anybody that should even think of themselves as evil must have passed though High-School...
I finally got to draw Chaos!! His looks are the very definition of chaos (complete with bracers), coupled with the immortal sensation of youth, who knows how big a handful he was... is.
Spit it out, Chaos. You don't know where that's been...
Yes, that's Phasir. Yes, he's drinking a juice box. Since the beginning of this project, I've pictured Phasir drinking a juice box. Egyptians were quite ahead of their time, weren't they?
He didn't always dress so simple. After watching the episode "The Prophet Motive", I stumbled into what was a young Phasir at the very beginning. I totally lucked out! Originally he was gonna look closer to Snake Plissken from "Escape From New York"...!
BTW, I've always envisioned Phasir to be slightly older/mature than Mirage, with more of a teacher-student -respectively- relationship rather than being in the same class or something.
I swear that both him and Chaos are Persian...
Mirage, Chaos and Phasir @ Disney. Asael is the combo-breaker. He's mine.
Update: Here's a prequel to all this: http://www.furaffinity.net/view/11600667/
