I can only imagine what heart-speaking nonsense Mikey just uttered to put that expression on fisherman Leo's face ("I think the fish has prettier lips than you..."). In short, the expressions are a triumph. Is it easier to draw Turtle expressions than others?
Jeez... What *couldn't* I speak about, here? The depth and layers of the environment is delicious eye-candy. And not just trees and foliage, but you thought to put a huge spine and ribs in there - who else would think of that?? I love it.

hahah Leo looks soooo annoyed! I can't decide it's because Mikey is like "Yeah you maybe caught two but my one is bigger than your two togather" or it's because that dead fish gets more attention than he. XD

Aw, haha, I see. With bg my problem is not the boring, tedious way but that I never have an idea how to start it, what to put into it. Especially when it comes to colours. I just rage-quitted a picture yesterday for that reason (the Tatsu Enkou one that I posted not long ago.) But I collected some inspirational pict so equipped with those I'll might succeed this time XD

Lolz, what you see usually is result of long brainstorming and tedious research and looking looots of reference or drawing things over and over again. In reality I'm not very creative. ^^'
Well I do better with characters though - I can have many ideas for characters.. but not for BGs. XD;
