Dang, I was honored someone snapped such a neat shot of me at the Hollywood/LA anti-scientology Anonymous protests.
500+ people turned out and the blaring of car horns in support was a constant. It was a really good way to start getting the word out and informing the masses that it's not just a joke.

And yeah, San Diego didn't turn out too well... Ended up in possibly the worst neighborhood I could've wound up in. But I'm still stuck in Orange County on Berb's couch, ha. Erk.
Progress with relative units has been made (mmmmgrandparents) and I really think in the next month or so I'll be able to move up closer into the LA area *crosses fingers* Right now it looks like I might have a place to crash on Long Beach for a bit, but don't really wanna stay there too long, but agdhjdjshfhjhjgjgh progress would be progress. Gnngghhkck! Hourlong drive on the 5 really keeps me far too detached, sadness!

Well, shucks! Thanks for the comment! I've actually hung on to that mask for years with the hope it'll serve some bad ass, anti-establishment purpose ;)

Unfortunate, misguided people have the right to believe whatever they want. However, they SHOULDN'T be swindled into destitution and shear bullshit-ry.

You know, I don't actually agree with you. Whenever I do anything with Anonymous, I make it a point never to reference my furry roots. As happy as I'm sure they'd be to know even us are helping, we're still kids who just have a freaky fetish. It'd be a REALLY big step for them to look past the lolz and legitimize us...but whatever, that's the nature of furry.

I have no fucking clue and am scared. But what's even better is the supposedly legal letters telling people they aren't allowed to make use of their first amendment rights!

Well one was on the forums and was like "I'm thinking of wearing my fursuit to the next protest" and I found out another one was a furry when we were talking while walking to the org, and the subject of that dude being a furry came up.
So nearly 10% of Montreal Anons are furries.
From the looks of the people who posted here; it seems that there's a high percent of furrehs in all Anonymous.

It sure is crazy. I even know 2 furries who live just outside the city and whom are against Scientology; but can't make it in town either due to work or lack of tansportation.
The Co$ cell here in Quebec is going to be majorly screwed over quite soon too.
They're changing laws to be very strict against rehabilitation centres. So- bye bye Narconon.

jesus! That's huge...but were the e-mails leaked or hacked into and gotten? I'm wondering about their admissibility in court if they were gotten illegally :P
I freaking work in Hollywood, drive past their Celebrity Center everyday, and work right next to their buildings. It's kind of a blessing and a curse because I see it everyday and want to DO something! But since I depend on my work which is in such close proximity it'd take a lot of work to mask my identity, plus I'd be fucking surrounded by them :P

Yeah, it's creepy. Apparently they had guys in suits with ear pieces and binoculars staked out on the roof tops of the buildings surrounding this protest.
I actually work in Hollywood, right amongst their densest population and it drives me crazy I can't do more since I see them everyday. But...I can't do anything that'll get me recognized. Especially since I work around there everyday :P

It was a large event with several hundred protesters so since we outnumbered them, they relegated to photographing us from the roofs of surrounding buildings. And I think there was one disguised commercial truck that was monitoring us as well. But we all had masks and parked in distant locations. It was really exciting and worth the hassle!
Which is exactly why it needed to be done! Their 'religion' grants them the right to use these tactics ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fair_G....._(Scientology) ). Which, if you know anything about religious fanaticism, can be really dangerous!
YOU are paying them to be like this. Scientology was convicted of THE largest breach of the United States government in history ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_snow_white ). This is what granted them non-profit status despite their existence as being solely FOR-profit. If we can achieve anything, it's a revocation of that status...
They are not a church. They are not a religion. They are a pyramid scheme. A really intense one!

I had to fav this my friend it's a great pic of you, even in a dalmatian mask. In London we have some Scientology auditing centers and there is ALWAYS someone with a V is for Vendetta mask and a megaphone on the other side of the street protesting it. Lovely picture, great message. $cientology $ucks!

I was so fascinated by this movement. Never before has such a purely online phenomenon so tangibly been personified in real life. And to significant effect, too! It's touchstone in the evolution of the internet as a force of change and place in society now.
