Finally got around to finishing the digi-ink of this pic. i haven't been doing much digi inking since my Windows comp died and i couldn't use Painter - wasn't all that happy with PaintshopPro's or Gimp's inking - although the old part of this inking (her face and part of body) was paintshopPro.

But about a week ago i came across a mind-blowing thingy called "Krita". i was looking at some of Tyson Tan's ("Extvia") recent pictures and saw that he was using Ubuntu too now - and that his main painting programme was Krita - which i'd never heard of - downloaded it and WOWOWOWOWWOw@! It's not quite Painter, but the inking brushes are probably better than PainterX's - with auto smooth and weighted brushes.

The bad news is that current version of Krita (6) tends to crash with the version of Ubuntu i'm running, so i gotta find a fix for that...

There's also a very ruff digi-cross-hatched version i'll post in a few minutes - just quick test...

There'll probably be two or three different styled colour versions of this soon - flat/gradients, cel, and fully painted - no lines.

Background is left "open" for colour fx.

she's got some kind of mechatronic dragonfly-key balanced on her finger...
