I've suffered yet another case of artist's block, but I found a cure by trying out something summer-related with my characters. :)
Lauren Glass is enjoying the sunset, clad in a burgundy evening gown. The setting is inspired by a real-life location in the North Shore of greater Boston: the Swampscott Yacht Club. http://swampscottyachtclub.org/ However, it was a blue-sky mid-day when I visited the place, so a little research was involved.
