I'm running a Savage Worlds game where my group of RL friends have been tossed into a possibly post-apocalypse scenario, where two years have passed with them effectively being in a coma, and several interesting worlds seem to have been smashed into their own reality.
There's a Kmart near my place where a cackle of gnolls have moved in and taken over. The party ended up running into them while trying to scavenge supplies and more or less being... 'adopted' into the group. After a scuffle with some uppity elves, leaving one of the group's members nearly dead, Crusher - the gnolls' leader - declared that the humans needed to toughen up, so he set up some hand to hand pit fighting to gauge their skill.
Squidge was fought by
anachronicrodent and beaten senseless with little more than a couple of ineffective face pats to pad his damaged ego - and left with a permanently squinty eye and fucked up snout because of it.
and Ben was fought by Brick - who knocked him out in a couple of punches without even breaking a sweat.
