While in an Open Canvas 1.1 session with  Infinity, I played around with several concepts for my weathervein creatures.

To state again, their designs are based on weather phenomenons or components. I'm also deciding to work in "themes" to represent components of what is represented.

This one is based on a Derecho storm, a very powerful, long lived thunderstorm complex. Last time I read up on them, they are rare outside of the States. They are predominately straightline windstorms.

They usually start in the northern Plains and trek east all the way to the Atlantic Ocean. One notable exception was the 1993 Superstorm (the only other historic storm called a Superstorm) which spawned a southbound Derecho around when it came ashore in the Gulf of Mexico and traveled all the way to Cuba.

Alright, that lovely personal recollection aside (because I'm a weather history nut), I want to use things like very long hair to represent water and those much smaller, "Flannery" hairs to represent wind. The lightning bolt patterns might change along with the "clouds" fur concept.
