Not sure how they could be considered tacky. Now a plaid sweater vest, that's tacky. :P
Wear a pair and you'll get over the somewhat odd looks pretty quickly after you realize how amazingly comfy they are and how much better your walking posture is over normal shoes. Too bad toe socks are $12 a pair. x.x
