I see Mordo as a 21st century everyman--he grapples with being respectful, creative guy in a world that doesn't yet value those things; he wants to do the right thing, but is also kind of lazy; and he's super nice to Margaret, but is scared making a move will get him rejected or make him look like a creep. That's how I see him, anyway. : )
Oh yeah, I'm not saying taking that long to finally get Margaret is a bad thing, actually it's an awesome thing, imo. It makes Mordo so much more relatable to anyone who has gone through the same thing with their crush. Instead of rushing into it, it left a lot of time to develop their relationship as friends and show the struggle Mordo went through to get there. Plus it makes it so much better when they finally do hook up. *w*
And that's another reason I love Mordecai. He's a lot more grown up and responsible than Rigby, who only seems to want to goof off all the time. But that kind of dynamic works with best friends I guess xD
