Porsche engineers not only put a roof over the stock roofline to blend in a longer tail, they also widened the front bodywork to accommodate wider tires. The rules said the stock roofline had to be retained, but nothing about it being covered up. Loopholes like these were what Porsche carefully created their own solutions.
