Guess what we need? Snorunts. Ohh yes. Twin snorunts, to be exact, raised in a traditionalist family. Trained in seemingly random mix of martial arts and special attacks? Hoho, yessir, we got them.

Now despite everyone being already sick of me doing this, let me introduce you Niva and Bruma Sing.
Niva is the brother, half an hour younger to Bruma, the sister. They share a surprising likeness considering they are not identical twins, and they see remarkable effort to keep as similar to each other as possible, appearance-wise.

The twins are the result of a marriage between the descendants of two long lines of fighters, one of which are physical martial artists, and the other of elementalists using special attacks available to their species. Everyone placed high hopes on the twins from the beginning not only due to their parents' talents, but being the first ones to be trained in both ways since childhood. As such, the elders of the families saw them as little more than a step forward.
Since the age of three, the two have been taught in various forms of hand-to-hand combat, basic weapon handling and the use of their special attacks. The earliest of their childhood was spent almost entirely on training, but the more they learned, the more freedom they were allowed, both in and outside training. At the age of eleven, they had daily free time, which, to them, was something weird, scary even. To fill the gap of inactivity that their free time had left, Niva tried his hand at berry gardening (didn't go well due the cold climate), and later cooking, while Bruma found interest in painting and charcoal drawing.

Four years later, at the age of 15, they were presented with an opportunity they never expected. A friend of their mothers' family, a touring dojo challenger/tentative instructor, offered to take the twins with him, allowing them to not just see the rest of the world, but to gather actual experience against different fighters. Confident of both the twins, and their friend, their parents allowed him to take them with him.
Their first stop, Viridian City of Kanto.
