Your rat is adorable! I've always wanted one as a pet, they seem like they're awesome. Do you recommend them?

But I wonder if I'm the only one who thought the thumbnail looked like a buff rat flexing XD Maybe I'm crazy.

Ohmygosh yes I fully recommend ratties but only in pairs of the same sex or mischiefs! (A Mischief is a group of rats, that's three or more!) Ratties can also be desexed so they can have girlfriends or boyfriends, and while they don't live long (1~3yrs) they are fantastic pets that provide so much love and attention in that short time.

This girl is Thin, she's one of the first rats I got when I moved! She has a sister called Thick and the pair of them are well over 1.5yrs old now, they're precious to me and they certainly have provided so much fun for me over the time i've had them; they have been starred on CutePets and come to Pet Expos with me and love everyone! These two even know a few tricks like walking on their back legs, "Pirate" which is running up my arm to sit on my shoulder and "Open", which means to open a curtain or something similar!

Of course I always say do your research first, especially considering the care ratties need, the proper types of cages, beddings, dietary needs etc. Ratties also have specific medical needs! Some ratties can even suffer from depression :C
