I'm thinking of taking my random little ideas and channeling them at a random little comic. Because I can. XP

I like! It's great to see characters with personality.
Suggestion on word bubbles. They tend to be read left to right, top to bottom, using those as priority. For example, if you go from top to bottom with something higher on the right, you'll want to use bubble proximity to encourage the reader to read down instead of right.
Sometimes, in order to rearrange word bubbles, you need to rearrange character. Film practices are useful in this. If you're interested, I have some book titles that are quite straightforward and useful. If you put Mr. Cat on the left, perhaps leaning on Mr. Snuffles (assume that wouldn't cause an improper reaction), the word bubbles could more easily be arranged without her reply trying to cover Mr. Snuffles, or Mr. Cat. (I am sorry, I don't even know your character's names. I'm horrible.)
But whatever you do with the word bubbles, just be consistent. Establish an unspoken contract with the reader on how things are intended to be read, and don't break it.
