For the money, the Schecter can't be beat. Set neck construction with REAl EMG pickups (not the cheap HZ's), good tuners and good wood (read: a guitar NOT made out of nothing but mahogany and/or basswood). The quality of Schecters stuff has really gone up over the past few years. I'd 100% recommend any of the later model Schecter 7's :)
