Commissioned painting of a Phoenix rising from its ashes. I am particularly fond of this painting and consider it to be one of my best.
As I no longer own this painting, I don't remember the dimensions, but I DO remember that it was mixed media -watercolor primarily, with highlights scratched out using a pick, smoke and ashes made using pastels and gold highlights on the feathers done with acrylics. The surface is Crescent illustration board.
