Nice shot. The tight crop works well. :) I've never had very good luck with wolves. They've always been incredibly reclusive or they've been hidden behind super scratched up glass, so see nice, clear close up shots like this makes me green with envy. ;)

I shot this through a fence. If you look very hard at the original at full resolution you can still see the distortion of the fence. I worked a little to get it to the point where its practically invisible with an exposure brush as because of the focal length it was translucent in effect. All things considered, yeah it turned out well :)

I've got plenty of tact sharp photos of wolves. Ones that have interesting poses or expressions are much rarer.

I thought you hated canines?

I love wolves. Well, I should say I love canines first and foremost, with equinae and felines a distant second and third.

I've always had great luck with wolves. Maybe its because I am a dog friendly kinda fella and you're not, being a big kitty kat. ;)

Hey, I'm equal opportunity when it comes to photography. Being dog-friendly doesn't help with scratched up glass, unfortunately, or I'd have a lot more good shots of this guy. ;)
