I think this picture is more or less self-explanatory. Some writer's granny claimed to have seen a Big Foot once, and he thought it worth sharing with the readers of the magazine. As far as I knew there weren't many Big Feet in farming country, but what the hell... maybe it got drunk on fallen apples that were spoiling, got lost, and wandered down into Granny's back forty. I'd imagine "Grammy" (as the author called her) wasn't quite old enough for this mid-19th. century get-up. But then Big Foots are make-believe too. Notice the up-side down tractor -- I guess that was Big Foot's doing.
