Well the MS-18-E made it's first appearance in the gundam OVA series Gundam 0080 war in a pocket, it was a zeon prototype mobile suit designed for blitzkrieg style attacks and was equipped with 2 shotguns 2 panzerfausts 2bazzokas and a demolition chain, its internal armaments where head vulcans and a beam saber. although among gundam designs it does rather have a laborish appearance if you have ever seen patlabor.

Well to be honest I haven't seen nearly as many mobile suit type shows as I would like, and Patlabor is one of the ones on the list. But even having not seen it, I gotta agree with you, this one just doesn't have that normal Gundam type feel to it. But it's in a good way.

I like the fact that there are round-ish parts to it. Most gundams I see are all flat planes..

Well most Zeon mobile suits have far more curvature in their design compared to the federation's GM series mobile suits. plus they like to give their machines shoulder armor usually covered in spikes, as to whether it was actually for combat or to give the suit a more menacing presence I'm not really sure.

I like it. Who knows about the reasons for spikes.. *Shrugs*

Love the Zeon styling. Wish the Federation-Zeon conflicts were more available nowadays, or even shown on TV.
