I made this file during a line of thunder storms that were passing through. I've been thinking about making this remix for a while now but had no idea how to put it together. I had an idea not too long ago but with work being so busy I had no time. So now I finally had time to make this. There is a movie score used, but it really sets the mood. I threw in other elements to help the piece. Enjoy!

Have you ever listened to Alan Parsons project? There is one track in particular, recorded in 1976 at Abbey Road Studios that includes a freak thunderstorm within the sound track. Your featured track reminds me of that masterpiece. It's used as the powerful transition between the first two movements of "Fall of the house of Usher", from their progressive rock album called "tales of mystery and imagination".

Anyway - wow; Your piece, when played through headphones made me consider heading for the basement. Lots of tension!
Well done - though if you ever revisit the mix, I might suggest you try dropping the movie score down about 1.5 - 2.5 db, and add a staggered fadeout to the end, leaving just the sound of the thunder that then rolls to silence.
