The second of three monster egg adopts I auctioned off a few weeks ago! I really like how this one turned out. :O I feel like I say that in some form about all my art, but there usually is something I really like each time. And for this one... it's all of it. ^.^
I had a few ideas while drawing this guy that I blabbed about to Shy, so I'll share it here too. :) I figure all of the fluff on his body is flammable on command, and those two wing-shaped things on his back are a lot like beetle wing covers. I imagine they're great for communication; maybe he flicks them up when aggravated or wanting to look bigger to the enemy, or maybe to funnel the flames in some way?
Obviously this is all up to Shy whether it's true to the character or not, but I like constructing vague back stories and/or information about my adoptables. Makes them more... I dunno, fun. :D
