Tep is from a madscientist-based story I've been kicking around for a few years. He's not a Main Character, but he is part of the main cast. He's a minion of one of the main characters. That character likes to make his own minions out of his own DNA and whatever animals take his fancy. Tep is a mix of human, caiman, and some sort of fox (fennec, I think?).

Tep, and all his coworker minions are child-sized (their boss has unresolved family issues), and Tep in particular is very strong for his size. One day I'll be able to draw muscles, and Tep will look like a midget weightlifter, as he should (and if I remember right, there's a few around I can use photos of for muscle reference. Hm...). I'm still working on Tep's scales to skin to fur ratio, as well as the size and distribution of the scales, and the coloring of it all. The hair is set, though. It's a trait of the main character that Tep inherited. It'll only change in minor ways, as I tweak the exact bang design until I can draw it consistently.

I really, really love this guy. In the early comics while I was playing with the characters and starting to learn about them, he had some really great expressions. I may even upload some of them eventually, along with redrawn versions. Normally I wouldn't put up my pre-draft work on a story, but I'm so amused by some of it, I want to share.
