On May 25, the infamous Westboro Baptist Church was scheduled to protest the funerals of several victims of the recent catastrophic tornadoes that ravaged Moore, Oklahoma, near where I live and grew up.
I arrived just as the protests were starting up, armed with my cameras and with a friend, hoping to take part in showing our support for the families and against the group. I was surprised and touched by the sheer volume of people who showed up to counter protest, and by the wonderful variety of people who I saw!
Here was a group that my friend and I latched onto; a Hardcore Rap artist from up north and some Guy Fawkes..es?
