From my knowledge Vista has a mac like bar available for it, but honestly I find such things useless.
My gripe about vista is its empty promises, sure it looks nice but honestly I feel it is a bloated mess.
Firstly it demands too much just to get the home basic edition working, heck even XP needs much less in its initial configuration and thats bloated too.
Secondly it relies on flashy stuff that both Apple and Linux have been using for ages now but vista fails at keeping stability after long periods.
I have seen vista in action, in the short term it seems wonderful but from what I know of it Vista is messy at best.
Plus Vista seems to be sinking a bit, with macs becoming more popular and linux expanding every day Vista looks like it is standing still in comparison.

Vista's market share is approaching 15%, the market share of the Macs is around 4%, and there are more Macs than all of the Linux distros combined.
Do the maths.
I've been using Vista for nearly a year now and I have no regrets. It's just fine. Then again, I'm an update- and tweak freak.
Set Vista properly and it won't need much more than XP. Then again, a new OS needs more. Back in 2001, XP made people's jaws drop with the "hilarous need for 256 MiB of RAM to run at optimum". Everyone was holding on to 98 SE. ^^
History repeats itself.

But Microsoft cheats, plus I am more then tired of the SOB's as are others.
Market share seems like a large margin yes but really there are many out there still using other operating systems.
I am a proud and happy linux user myself, and it seems to be catching on as of late.
Dell, IBM and soon HP will soon support linux on their systems as alternatives to windows.
Macs are also making more leeway then people think, Apple has done a good job at promoting itself.
Numbers mean nothing, the market is changing, slowly but surely it is shifting.
You can give me figures all you want, but times are changing.

Yeh gamers are a big factor in the success of windows, but there is progress for the other operating systems too.
The biggest issue with gaming is so many developers not willing to code outside of anything of what microsoft puts onto them.
OpenGL seems to be changing this, directx 10 seems not to be a foavorite of developers.
There are other factors too though, for now the gaming market belongs to windows but who knows.
I personally dont use my computer for gaming, I use my computer for the most basic needs...
Internet, Office, Graphics and linux can do these things just as well as windows if you know how.
