"Stanton always floods when it rains"

This is an area that is notorious for flooding every time we get a severe rain. A couple years back I saw men in brightly colored vests canoeing to this store when the water was even higher.

This is also one of the areas the county stores a large number of its school buses. So every time it rains hard the buses along with the bus drivers' cars have to be parked on the shoulder of the nearby highway so that the water doesn't ruin the engines or sweep the buses away. In fact there is an abandoned bus in the nearby woods that ended up there in the 1960's after a particularly bad rain.
