I took this on my drive through monument valley, famous for these buttes, or as I like to call them "vertical mountains". I was out there last week visiting friends and family. I truly believe that Monument Valley is one of the most beautiful places on earth. No photo does it justice, you really have to come here to see for yourself.

Monument Valley and a lot of the northern portion of the Navajo Reservation is actually not as hot as the rest of Arizona because of its high altitude. It was the last week of May when I was here and the temperature was still pretty moderate. It is really lovely; just rough terrain.
