I'm actually quite surprised at how close you are to the original idea for that character. Like the titans, in the original story I wrote there were only two and they were called the lutenants, there was of course night, (the character I supplied to you you) and day who is exactly like night except his clothing is white. You got the idea for the acolytes right except they wear grey clothing that is similar to that of the lutenants, and then you have twilight, the leader. He just wears a grey robe and of course the Mask that you described. Course they didn't have a secret agenda like these guys. They were like peace keepers, until twilight got drunk on power and desired to use his followers to his own ends.
