A little gift art piece for Mortal-Rot ( http://mortal-rot.deviantart.com/ )for all the excellent free comissions / gifts he drew featuring a character of mine. I thought it was only fair to return the favour.

So here we have his Quarian character Ayllana from Rot's popular Mass Effect themed webcomic "Divine Vs. Demonic" which you can find in his deviantART gallery.

I can't believe that even though I've had this Tablet for upwards of 6 months now, I'm still "Experimenting" with it... so here are few light shading effects to provide a few lighting / shadow visuals on the fabric. I'm quite happy with how that turned out on the hood, not so much on the legs though.

I based her face colour on Rot's artwork of Ayllana maskless. Her face is actually coloured pink/purple on another layer of the XCF file, but of course, adding the tinted visor on a higher layer hides that.

I had the lines and flat colours finished.. roughly a week ago, but I ran into a brick wall of art block where I just couldn't lift a finger to do anything art related. I went back at this today, spent an hour or two on the shading and lighting effects and now there we are.


And before anyone calls me out on it, yes, if you've drawn a lot of artwork for me before, I'll probably draw some gift art for you if I have time, or if I can come up with something. Don't bug me about it.
