"I am alone" Sasha says quietly between sobs, responding to the strange girl infront of him. "No one wants me... I-I don't fit in..." He stammers out as he cries. He is too distraught to fully notice and understand that the girl talking to him came out of and is in the sea.
"That is not true. I am sure you fit in, and I know you are wanted" The girl says in a reassuring voice. "No, I don't fit in! I am a rainbow-haired cat... There are almost no other cats alone, but how many others have clown hair, like some sort of freak.... The tip of my tail is suposed to be a rainbow too, but I bleached it white to match my fur... To be normal.... Because... Maybe.... Maybe... Someone would want me more... if I were normal..."
"Being unique is a good thing though" She says.
"How is it good to look like some sort of clown... To be some sort of freak..."
"Because it makes you that much better than everyone else"
"B-better? H-how is it better..." Sasha says, starting to cry again.
"Yes. I love color! And a lot of other people love color too"
"But I look like a freak! I am a freak!"
"You are not a freak... Birds are colorful, but they are not freaks, and they sing beautiful songs... Fish can be colorful, but they arn't freaks" She says a little more firmly, trying to get him to cheer up.
"But I am not a bird! I am not a fish! I am a cat.... Cats arn't supposed to be green and blue and pink and purple....."
"But the colors make you pretty like a bird"
"P-pretty?" The cat's voice softening at the word, and the girl in the water pick up on his change of tone. "Yes, all the colors are like pretty feathers"
Sasha goes silent, unsure of a response. "Birds are so colorful, so free, and they sing such beautiful songs... I am sure, once you stop telling yourself about how adnormal you are and try to be free... You will be happy like them" The mysteries girl says to reasure him.
"I don't know..." Sasha says softly as he wipes his eyes. "I will show you" The girl says softly with a smile"
