This is a song recorded by my first band, Detention, in 1996.
My first band existed between 1993 and 1997, and we played an experimental kind of dark rock. We were influenced by The Cure, Sisters of Mercy, The Doors, and Swedish punk.
We were all angsty and depressed teenagers, and we played for angsty and depressed teenagers! It worked out well. We usually swapped instruments with each other between each song.
In this song, I am playing the bass. The guy singing in this song, usually did not sing. He would usually play the electric violin or the bass, this was the only song he sang on.
For this song, I wrote the lyrics, and composed the chords, and the structure of the song.
The freaky solo in the middle is electric violin run through some interesting effect-box.
It's the only song either of my bands ever recorded in a professional studio, as this was recorded for a compilation CD of local bands in 1996.
For once, I am putting up a song with themes that are suitable for a site like this! The song is about being hypnotized and mind-controlled by an evil dragon! (Yes, I know not all dragons are evil! Several of my best friends are dragons!) :)

Mmm, I did not write many lyrics in Swedish. When I was a teenager, the music I listened to, had lyrics primarily written in English. Since 1997 and onwards I listen a lot more to music in many other languages... and 40% of my record collection are by Swedish musicians.
