Another lousy quality bootleg-type recording from the audience!
This is a song by my second band, Wilderness (1996-2001). It's a live recording from 1999.
It's one of our more up-tempo pieces. I will upload some more slower and reflective pieces at a later date.
The song was mainly written by me, but as with most song from my second band, they were created from the collaborative musical creativity between me and Jonas, the guitar-player. I was the bass player.
The song was actually inspired by a poem from one of my favourite poets, Dan Andersson (1888-1920), in particular the following verse:
"Må de svarta salta vatten, svalka kinder feber-röda.
Må vi vara mil från livet innan morgonen är full.
Ej av denna världen var jag, och oändlig vedermöda,
Led jag för min oro, otro, och mitt heta hjärtas skull."
"May the black and brackish waters cool our cheeks with fever reddened,
May we be from life far distant where the morning is awake
Never was I one with this world, and unending tribulation
Suffered, restless, unbelieving, suffered from my burning heart."
And yes, that's my voice at the very end of the recording, as I am wishing the audience a good night!

Awwwww :D DAT BASS LINE :D
Such bands really need to have an awesome bass player, since dark wave and gothic rock call it how ever you want is rather harmonic and colorful than melodic, and I just love how it turned out, you sounded great live! You really gotta find yourself another band! :D :D :D
