Today's episode is about knowledge. At one level, the knowledge gained when you are in a sea of mud, being taught Gramerye the Imperial Army of Faerie way. At another, the knowledge you can gain in a mystical place built by long-ago elves, and elements about yourself only hinted at before.

This is almost exactly the way I imagined the Hall of Ancestors would work - except the memorialized need not have died in Faerie. They only need have been Elves, or certain rare lowfolk admitted into Elvish fellowship. (Of which there used to be more than there are now; a general statement about ALL of Faerie, in fact)

I'm going to be very interested to see how the next "Ballad" segment turns out. The cognomen for King Adler is squarely on point, I think.
