One of the last of the last batch of pictures I took at Steep Rock, same morning as the ones with the moon in the sky during sunrise. I would have loved to have taken some pictures with the full sunrise in the background but the battery on the camera was right down to it and more importantly my fingers were in agony. Actually I could have taken more agony but seriously, the battery was right dead. Your hands can get awful cold at -20 when you're wearing thin gloves (for manipulating controls) already wet from the snow and holding them IN the snow while you snap away, trying to guess your framing because you can't see through the view-finder. Gods, talk about suffering for your art! I'll match that to anyone's artists' wrist-cramps.

Critique: Not enough color on the horizon, could have more light on the front there. Framing... better shot would have been from the left or the right a bit more, right side of subject collides with the trees in the background. Oh there's much room for improvement. "Be your own harshest and worst critic." Words from me sensai who's quite honestly rather brutal. That makes it all the more worthwhile when I DO get a bit of praise. Man, the reactions you get when you DO critique someone's stuff, ridiculous and over-the-top! You wouldn't believe the things that were said to me after I said that this certain "artist" *bleah!* might want to buff up their chops a bit before charging the same rates as well-experienced artists.
Well your critiques truly has something in it... But I have to agree with the framing thing... About the light there is not much you can do about it... perhaps a gradual neutral density filter would have helped you with that..
Oh By the way... DO some critiques on my works, get some feedback

Use a bounced flash to get softness on the light since the snow there will reflect too much light (i think... we don't have snow here...) And the thing with the gradual neutral density filter would help without the need of a fill flash.
