jameless. This time I wanted a more serious and reflective scene. I did my best to describe the scene, and Jameless did even better to make it real. And boy, she was fast with this pic! Lotsa thanks to you once more, Jameless, this is superb work!
I wanted my rock python char Greer to be quite thoughtful on this one. Reason for this was a song called "Countless Skies" by australian melo death band Be'lakor. I'm not a wimp, believe me, but this song touches me a damn lot everytime I listen to it, so while reading and trying to interprete the lyrics I had this scene in my mind. Greer sitting somewhere alone, deeply reflecting about nature, what life IS about: birth and death, blossom and decay, hope and helplessness. And that he, when he still was a feral rock python, took part in this circle, killing in order to survive, taking his prey's life to preserve his own.
And while a predator acts without compassion or disdain for his prey, I think Greer definitely feels some sadness and guilt here.
So, I strongly suggest that you enjoy this pic while listening to the song I mentioned. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eYaxAosBuro

Ahhh... nice. It makes sense that Greer would feel more complex emotions when it comes to prey. Though he acts for the protection of himself and others, he understands far more the ripples of his actions on the lives of those around his prey. Reflection's good though - its part of what keeps him such a good guy. :)
Jameless did a nice job on the picture - captured the character well, and I like how Greer's left foot looks; nice toe size, well shaped ball pad and just a good pose in general. Right foot is a bit off though, I think 'cause the toe size seems disproportionate compared to the left foot.
