Yes, I saw that. 1000 Meters = 1 Kilometer. You need 1000, 0.001's to make 1.
KPH, or k/hr, is how many kilometers you are traveling in an hour. He is, therefore, going 1 Meter per hour.

That's the metric system for you. For a quick conversion, 1 meter is roughly equal to 3'3". (39.37" if you want the decimals, but what the heck.)

(I actually know that conversion off the top of my head, along with 1 kg = 2.204623 lbs. Oddly, I can never seem to memorize the conversion factor between liters and ounces... I always have to look it up. I guess I need a new volume control... sorry, I couldn't resist. )
