Fen is all over the shop here... anger to concern to anger again and then contempt.... and mid way through she just drops to the floor the brother she was showing concern for so she can intimidate someone... "He's my brother and I didn't do anything!"....(except drop him to the floor just now) .... the woman reaaallly needs to get a grip on things.....

Also great to see our little tech/scientist/engineer and sometime spy has had success in fixing the translator.... Spike is really becoming a character of his own, complete with snark and attitude....

yes, she is, she cares about Hector only when its convienent for her, otherwise she sees him as a bit of a chore. She wants him around almost EXCLUSIVELY so that she can have company of some familiar sense even after everyone else around her has died he can remain a constant in her life. But she's hardly concerned for him because she's the one who keeps him breathing to begin with, so, as long as she suceeds in that she has no worry. There's a reason magic exposure won't kill him, the magic fen is using to keep him alive can easily use outside sources to "refuel" as it were so the magic he just exposed himself too is being stored and slowly absorbed into being repurposed into that use. It hurts because its "fresh" and without more alchohol to keep the pain at bay Hector is hurt.

But no she's not worried about him. The only reason she appeared at all was because she thought he was stealing magic, she was concerned breifly because she thought he was getting sick from something else, only to find out he had done something collossaly stupid to get her attention. (At least to her.) and heres the fun clincher, she's actually mad at him because he wants her to help someone OTHER than him, it constantly annoys her that Hector looks out for everyone but himself, knowing what that can lead to. She's just a very very selfish person and can't understand why her brother isn't the same.

Woah, I gathered Fen had her reasons and quirks but I had not realised her 'care' for her brother had become such a base, self-serving thing as that..... no wonder their relationship has become so skewed and Hector has such a penchant for the results of fermentation.... both from the knowledge of their relationship and the results of his sister's meddling in his life..... it would be so hard for someone so other-centric to be so closely associated with one so self-centric.
