I didn't get much sleep last night, so I decided to start my weekend early and draw some HP Lovecraft inspired monsters. I know some people have been asking me to draw Cthulhu for years (and I plan on doing so eventually), but I felt like being creative and getting some of the designs in my head into a more visual form.
Much of the animal life of planet Yor-Alcona in my fictional galaxy is meant to be a love letter to Lovecraft... so obviously this planet is full of things that are big and scary. Most of them probably wouldn't mind eating the face off of any sentient dumb enough to get near them, but for some reason they usually ignore Alconians, the native sentients that they share their homeworld with.
The Bhu-Kalek are more or less inspired by Lovecraft's Shoggath... although very, very VERY loosely.
More Yor-Alcona monsters coming when inspiration strikes.

This picture is meant to focus on my notes about the species and putting a definite design down on paper rather then writing a masterpiece. I usually catch most typos, but some slip by me. If you see one and it bugs you, please send a note rather then publicly announcing it. Thank you!
