I just checked my records, and "Rudy" my hyper laser-chasing banana-in-discuise German Shepherd will be 9 years old next week.
in this photo set, on the left he was just a pup, and the other pic on the right was taken recently.
After seeing so many people post journals and photos of loosing their beloved pets to cancer, illness, etc lately, even at young ages of 3 years and younger, i am greatfull and thankfull to have my Rudy still with me after 9 years of hyper uber-derpyness.
Rudy has been with me through the good times and bad times, and he is the one friend who have never abandoned me, walked away, or blocked me out...
I wish i could have another 9 years with Rudy doing his Derpy things, but as we all know Lifespans for Sheppys is between 9 & 12 years. So far he's in good health, and i pray that he stays that way for some time yet.

Awwww *stretches paws to give you hugs* .... I, as many, am glad he is still with you ... there is nothing like coming home to undivided attention and laying beside your bed as you sleep. I've seen a couple of your videos with the laser dot and it's so funny. Rudy looks to be in fine health on the pics ... very cute pup. I lost my Bandit when he was almost 13 and yes it was due to cancer, I was devastated and ended up in the ER over it. I hope you have a long time with Rudy. SB.

Mine"Buddy" just turned 10 this month on third I so wish like you id spent alot more time doing the goofy things and all, Im glad both rudy and mine still thankfully get around and thank heaven above mines still in good health an active if only i could go back in time i so would have done lots more with him i plan on doing alot this summer if all goes well because hes my baby
